It's all about

in your face floral aromas. Make no mistake, this is certainly the tsui yu cultivar - the dry leaf, the wet leaf, and the tea liquor itself are overwhelmingly floral. There is a relatively high level of drying astringency present, much like the feeling of astringency left after eating spinach leaves. Due to the strength of this tea, I find it works much better as a cold brew - the astringency almost disappears and the balance between flavor and aroma evens out.
